Ceylon Cinnamon

Ceylon Cinnamon is considered to be the True Cinnamon among all the 100 different varieties of Cinnamon that are grown worldwide. It is cultivated almost exclusively in Sri Lanka. Its correct botanical name is Cinnamomum Zeylanicum or Cinnamomum Verum, which translates directly to True Cinnamon. Other everyday names for Ceylon Cinnamon are Baker’s Cinnamon & Soft Stick Cinnamon. Ceylon Cinnamon comes from the inside of the bark of the evergreen tree that is a member of the Laurel Species.
