This delightful recipe for French Toast is perfect for breakfast & filling enough for an easy, enjoyable dinner!

Serves: 2

4 slices of 2 day old Challah or Brioche loaf bread cut ¾ of an inch thick
1 extra-large egg
3 tablespoons of coconut oil (for pan greasing)
¾ cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon Golden Vanilla Cane Sugar
½ teaspoon Almond Extract
Pinch Fleur de Sel Salt

1. In a medium sized bowl or eight inch round cake pan, mix egg, coconut milk, vanilla sugar, almond extract and salt.
2.  Heat a large frying pan over medium high heat for thirty seconds and add coconut oil.
3.  While coconut oil is heating, dunk bread in egg mixture on either flat-cut side for 5 seconds and repeat on the other side of the bread.  Put this piece of bread into the oil on the frying pan and repeat with another piece of bread, cooking two at a time.
4. Over medium high heat, cook each side for about three minutes or until light golden brown, as pictured.
