Bloody Mary Pitcher Recipe

Share |

One of the only drinks that can make a cookout better is an icy, homemade Bloody Mary. Make it even easier to serve by making a whole pitcher! Rich Tomato Juice traditionally combines with Vodka* in this easy recipe. Celery Salt is a main flavor ingredient, plus use it to rim the glass!

Serves: 4-5 adults. Time: 15 minutes.

Ingredients:
46 oz tomato juice
3/4 cup to 1 1/2 cups vodka*; your favorite strength
4 Tablespoons Worchestshire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2-4 dashes hot sauce; your favorite strength
2 teaspoons celery salt, more for rimming the glass
2 teaspoons horseradish powder
3 limes
garnish, ideas include celery, carrot, olives, or green onion

Method:
Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher then stir until blended.

To rim a glass, start with two dessert plates. Add 1/4 cup of water to one. Add a heavy sprinkling of celery salt to the other, in a ring.

Dip your favorite highball glass in the water first, coating the edge of the glass. Dip the wet edge in to the celery salt, coating the water. Fill with the drink, garnish as desired.

* Change things up a bit by using a flavored vodka. I used Bakon Vodka in this recipe, you will find pepper flavored vodka, and jalapeno vodka in the vodka aisle of your liquor store. Use your imagination!
