Active Dry Yeast 

Also Known as: Dry Yeast or Baker's Yeast 

Ingredients: Yeast, sorbitan and monostearate. 

Taste and Aroma: Authentic sweet and creamy yeasty flavor. 

Uses: Bread, pizza crust, sourdough, rolls, white bread, wheat bread, french bread, bagels, buns, cheese bread and fruit bread. 

Substitutes: There is no substitute for Yeast's specific purpose of causing bread to rise.

Fun Fact: Active Dry Yeast was first invented during World War II, as refrigeration was not always possible.  Unlike fresh yeast, Active Dry Yeast does not require refrigeration and has a shelf life of 1 year.
