Ingredients: Arrowroot

Taste and Aroma: No flavor.

Uses: Thickening agent often used in gravies, sauces and baking.

Substitutes:
Lecithin Powder, Cornmeal, Xanthan Gum, Clear Jel Instant, Clear Jel Cook Type, Spelt Flour, Tapioca Starch or Potato Starch

Fun Fact: In the past, Arrowroot was used both to make paper and heal poison arrow wounds.


Health Values:
-May act as a nourishing food when used in a diet for convalescents
-May be useful for relief of acidity, nausea, indigestion and colic
-May be useful when applied topically as a paste or poultice because of anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties
