Balti Spice

Also Known as: Balti Curry or Balti Seasoning

Origin: Pakistani

Ingredients: Garlic, Brown Mustard, Cinnamon, Cumin, Cardamom, Cloves, Fennel, Fenugreek, Star Anise, Cilantro, Anise Seed, Bay Leaves, Coriander, Red Pepper, Ajwain Seed and Charnushka

Taste and Aroma: Spicy, complex and very powerful.

Uses: Curries, meat, chicken, stews, rice and soup

Substitutes: Garam Masala, Dukkah Spice, Curry Powder or Maharajah Style Curry Powder

Fun Fact: Balti is the name of a special pot that is used to cook a Pakistani style curry.
