Black Cumin Seeds 

Also Known as: Kala Jeera, Bunium Persicum or Black Jeera Spice 

Origin: India 

Ingredients: Black Cumin 

Taste and Aroma: Rich, earthy, sweet, nutty and distinctive. 

Uses: Curry, meat, rice, pilaf, baking, bread, sauces, soups and stew. 

Substitutes: Cumin Seeds, Nigella Sativa or Caraway Seeds.

Fun Fact: Black Cumin shares a similar name with regular cumin and nigella sativa (also known as black cumin) and a similar crescent like shape appearance with caraway seeds; but is its own more exotic, rare and rewarding spice.
