Ingredients: Ginger, Allspice, Cinnamon, Red Pepper and Nutmeg
Taste and Aroma: Five spices for five flavors – Sweet, sour, hot, savory and warm.
Uses: Chinese cooking, rice, stir fry, pork and vegetables.
Substitutes: Cinnamon, Star Anise, Anise Seed, Ginger, Cloves or French Four Spice
Fun Fact: Chinese Five Spice stems from the principle of the yin and the yang, which teaches balance and complements.

| | I originally bought this spice for my mom (she loves asian cooking), but kept a little for myself to try on some pork....oh boy was it a nice change! There is a little sweet and a little spicey. Even my young girls ate it!! I may try it next in a stir fry with some beef..it will add great flavor to the veggies too! | |

We ship all orders via UPS Ground for a low flat fee of $4. Orders over $40 ship FREE! (No minimum orders, no handling fees and no hidden fees!) You can expect your order to arrive within 2 to 7 business days. Please keep in mind, since we offer so many hard to find ingredients, occasionally we encounter unexpected backorders. If an item you ordered is going to cause a delay beyond 7 business days, we will contact you. When your order ships, you will receive an email with your UPS tracking number that night.
If you need your order quicker than 7 business days, we suggest you take a look at our discounted priority shipping options. We offer an almost unheard of low flat fee on UPS 2nd Day Air (2-3 business days) of only $10. Our discounted Next Day Air rate (1-2 business days) is $25 + $1.60 per pound.
We refuse to treat shipping as a profit center as do so many online merchants. In return all we ask is that you are patient with us as we work as hard as possible to get your spices to you as quickly as possible!
We ship anywhere within the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico! Unfortunately, we do not ship outside of the United States or to APO addresses at this time.
