Crackly Steak au Poivre

A simple version of the French classic, the crispy, spicy, aromatic crust makes this steak absolutely heavenly; just bursting with flavor.  Serve with some grilled onions, asparagus and a red wine - bon appetit!

Black Pepper Ground 28 Mesh, Cayenne Pepper

2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 - 2 1/2 pounds sirloin steak

Place the black pepper, sugar, salt and cayenne on a large plate and mix to combine.  Place the steak on the plate and dredge it with the pepper mixture.  

Prepare a grill or preheat the broiler.

Place the steak on the grill or under the broiler and cook for about 3 - 5 minutes on each side.  Serve immediately.
