Guar Gum

Also Known as: Guar Gum Powder, Guar Bean Gum or Guaran.

Ingredients: Guar Gum

Taste and Aroma: Odorless with a slightly bitter taste. It should not impact the taste of the final product in the quantities typically used.

Uses: Guar Gum is a highly effective gluten free thickener and stabilizer. Great in sauces, soup, marinades, baking mixes, hot beverages, pastries, bread, stew, popsicles, smoothies, protein shakes, pudding, pizza dough, dressings and ice cream.

Substitutes: Locust Bean Gum, Xanthan Gum and Gum Arabic Powder Organic

Fun Fact: Guar Gum gives you great bang for your buck, as it is 8 times stronger in its thickening properties compared to more conventional cornstarch.
