Too Much Smoke Infusion
Everything that came shipped in the same box with it now reeks of campfire. I had to banish it from the kitchen because the odor was so strong even after I transferred it to a jar with a lid. But..if you want some smoke flavoring...just be careful how much you add.

Hickory Smoked Sea Saly
This is an improvement on the hickory smoked salt I bought here last year. That stuff was stuck together like a rock and customer service simply said to beat it with a hammer. They finally offered to send a replacement but that was worse than the original and was not even blended properly. By comparison, this product is useable and has a nice taste.

Bulk Spice Purchase
I have been happy with every purchase I have made here except this one was a little off. I ordered hickory smoked sea salt and two of the bags were so course that they have to be put into a grinder to use. I really don't mind using the grinder but it is not what I ordered. Besides that as always everything tasted great and will last me for a long time.

Making Yummy Lox
I make my own lox and I have found the best mixture is one part hickory smoked sea salt, two parts pink Haawain salt, one part granulated brown sugar and a solid sprinkle of dill. Pack FRESH skinless salmon in a thick crust, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and place in a pie plate. Add another plate on top and weight it down. After two days rinse and enjoy!

Used This As A Base
Used this as a base seasoning for a rub I made for pulled pork. Put it on the night before, and then cooked it for about 8 hours, the next day. Wonderful!
