Odense Marzipan Almond Candy Dough 

Also Known as:  Marizapan or Marzipan Dough

Origin:  Denmark (Using California Almonds)

Ingredients:  Sugar, Almonds (28%), Glucose Syrup (Wheat Starch) 

Taste and Aroma:  Pleasantly Sweet and Nutty 

Uses:  Love to bake? Make Marzipan the star of your favorite desserts. Marzipan is a sweet almond-based paste that's perfect for pastries. Great for cakes, cookies, glazes, substitute for fondant, and icing. Use it to make traditional imitation fruits; known in Italy as "Frutta martorana."

Fun Fact:  Marzipan is believed to have originated in Persia (present-day Iran) and to have been introduced to Europe through the Turks.
