Ingredients: Ground Pasilla Chile Peppers

Taste and Aroma: Medium level of heat, rich and full flavored.

Uses: Sauces, vegetables, salsa, mole sauce, stews, soup and Mexican Cuisine.

Substitutes: Ancho Chile Peppers,Guajillo Chile Peppers, Arbol Chile Peppers, Chipotle Brown Chile Peppers, Cascabel Chile Peppers, Chipotle Morita Chile Peppers or New Mexico Chile Peppers

Fun Fact: The Pasilla Chile Pepper resembles a raisin, thus the Spanish word “pasilla” is often translated as “little raisin”.
