Potassium Sorbate 

Also Known as: Potassium Sorbate Preservative or Wine Stabilizer 

Ingredients: Sorbic acid(crotonaldehyde) and Potassium Carbonate 

Taste and Aroma: Flavorless or subtle bubblegum like taste and aroma for people with sensitive taste palates.  

Uses: Potassium Sorbate is a popular stabilizer, mold inhibitor and food preservative used in: Wine making, dried fruits, cheese, meat, yougurt, cider and baking. 

Substitutes: Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Powder or Citric Acid

Fun Fact: Potassium Sorbate is an integral ingredient in wine making that prevents re-fermentation once a wine is bottled and ready to be consumed.
