Potato Starch

Ingredients: Potato Starch

Taste and Aroma: Very little flavor, as potato starch is primarily used for its thickening properties.

Uses: A great gluten free substitute for corn starch.  Use as a thickener in baking, pancakes, cakes, brownies, pie, soups, gravies, sauces and pasta.

Substitutes: Instant Potato Flakes, Tapioca Starch, Xanthan Gum, Semolina FlourSpelt Flour, Arrowroot Powder and Clear Jel Instant.

Fun Fact: Another benefit of Potato Starch over corn starch is its higher heat point, making it superior in recipes that require higher cooking temperatures.
