Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Holiday Glazed Walnuts

Mix this fragrant glaze together on an afternoon you have company coming over, the delicious smell hangs in the air for hours! Real Maple Syrup combines with Ceylon Cinnamon and Vanilla Extract in this easy recipe. Toasting the Walnuts adds a great flavor, but is optional if you’re in a time pinch!

  • Yield: 2 cups

  • Level of Difficulty: Easy

  • Cook Time: 10 Minutes

  • Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups

    halved walnuts & pieces

  • 1 cup

    real* maple syrup

  • 2 Tablespoons

    butter

  • 2 teaspoons

    Ceylon Cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    salt

  • 1 teaspoon

    Vanilla Extract

  • 1 piece

    wax paper

Directions

Bring a cast iron skillet up to medium heat. Lightly toss the walnuts over the heat. Toast for only a few minutes, until fragrant, be careful not to burn them.

Set the toasted walnuts aside.

Melt the butter in the skillet. Add the maple syrup. Bring to a boil and add the cinnamon and salt. Cook until thickened, about 8-10 minutes.

Add the vanilla extract and remove from heat. Toss with the walnuts.

Pour the glazed walnuts on to a sheet of wax paper. Separate them with a fork. Let cool completely (or eat a few warm ones of the paper!) and store in an air-tight container. Serve with holiday cookies and a cinnamon-spiced coffee!

* The fake stuff won’t work, it has to be the real maple syrup!
