Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

  • Yield: 6

  • Level of Difficulty: Easy

  • Cook Time: 20 Minutes

  • Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup

    flour

  • 1/3 cup

    sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons

    baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon

    Ceylon Cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    salt

  • 1/2 cup

strawberries (frozen, fresh, whatever you have is fine)

  • 3 tablespoons

    strawberry preserves

  • 1/3 cup

    milk

  • 1

    egg

  • 1 tablespoon

    butter

  • 1 tablespoon

    real Maple Syrup

  • 1 cup

    confectioner’s sugar

  • 2 tablespoons

    corn syrup

  • 2 tablespoons

    milk

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425-degrees.

Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.

If using frozen strawberries, add them and the butter to a blender and let them sit for about 15 minutes before pureeing.

Add the 2 Tablespoons preserves, milk, egg, and Maple Syrup to strawberries and butter. Puree until smooth. Try not to leave any large lumps.

Add the strawberry puree to the flour mix. Stir until combined, the batter will be thick.

Add to a greased doughnut pan. Use a large spoon to add three dollops into the cavities. Use the back of the spoon to smooth the batter into the cavities.

Bake at 425-degrees for 7-11 minutes. Edges will be slightly brown and the cake will bounce back when pressed. Let cool about 10 minutes before icing. You can hurry the cooling process by stashing them in the freezer for 5 minutes or so while you mix the icing.

Combine the confectioner’s sugar, corn syrup, 1 Tablespoon of preserves and 1 Tablespoon of milk together until smooth. If it is too thick, add another Tablespoon of milk.

Dip one end of the doughnut in the frosting, then place on a cooling rack. Allow the frosting to drip down the sides. You can eat immediately (like we always do!) or wait till the frosting hardens, about 15 more minutes. Enjoy!
