Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Lavender Citrus Holiday Cookies

Take a dramatic twist on the typical holiday sugar cookie and spice it up with the fresh flavors of citrus and lavender. The kick of the lemon and orange play very nicely with the subtlety of the lavender, and combine for a delicious delight for the taste buds! This recipe calls for an aromatic citrus glaze as a finish, but you could also decorate them with royal icing for a Christmas treat if you prefer. Either would be amazing!

  • 1 1/2 cups

    Confectioner's Sugar

  • Zest of one Orange
  • Juice of one Orange (about 3-4 Tablespoons)

  • 1 teaspoon

    Lemon Extract

Directions

For the cookies: Preheat oven to 350F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper or SilPat.

Combine first 5 dry ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk to combine. Set aside.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Beat with paddle attachment until smooth and creamy.

Add egg and beat for 2 additional minutes.

Add vanilla and extracts, and beat another 2 minutes.

All at once, add the dry ingredients, and mix until just combined.

Roll the dough into small balls. To achieve the crackled effect on the tops, do not roll completely, just shape into balls and leave the broken tops, as pictured. Leave at least 2 inches between cookies to allow for spreading in the oven. Bake for 11-13 minutes. Allow to cool on pan.

When cooled, top with Citrus Glaze or Royal Icing, if desired.

For the citrus glaze: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir by hand until smooth and creamy. If mixture is too thick, add more juice. If too runny, more confectioners sugar. Drizzle on the tops of the cooled cookies. Allow to dry 1-2 hours before stacking.
