Rubbed Sage

Also Known as: Common Sage or Kitchen Sage

Origin: European

Ingredients: Rubbed Sage

Taste and Aroma: Intense, strong, warm and slightly peppery.

Uses: Thanksgiving turkey stuffing, pork, poultry, eggplant, bread and dumplings

Substitutes: Sage Ground, Sage Leaves, Rosemary Ground or Poultry Seasoning

Fun Fact: Rubbed Sage is much stronger than ground sage, because it is rubbed directly from the leaves while ground sage also includes the stems.
