Sichuan Peppercorns

Also Known as: Szechuan Peppercorns or Whole Sichuan Peppercorns 

Origin: China

Ingredients: Sichuan Peppercorns

Taste and Aroma: Hot, Citrusy, Woodsy, Pungent

Uses:  A staple in traditional Asian cooking, Sichuan Peppercorns can be used in chicken, beef, pork, duck and vegetable dishes.  A great addition to stir-fry, soups and braises!

Substitutes: Black Peppercorns, Tellicherry Peppercorns, Kampot Pepper, Shichimi Togarashi and Four Peppercorn Blend.

Fun Fact: Sichuan Peppercorns are actually dried berries from the Prickly Ash Tree!
