I've been using the Spice Sage Applewood Smoked Sea Salt for years now. This is another trick that I use to keep my "cooking competition friends" guessing. You can develop a LOT of flavor with the help of this salt. Also... grind it with Himalayan Pink Salt, 50/50, using a mortar and pestle... and put on popcorn. Amazing stuff!
We tried this salt on a whim but soon found that we really enjoyed the aroma and taste. We now keep a small shaker on the table for use on veggies and most other foods. This salt brings a fine flavor to anything it is used on.

I really enjoy this product. You only need a very tiny bit to add to get great flavor to what you are making as this product is exceptionally salty. For example I made crab meat and noodles which is fairly bland and with this addition it perked up the flavor to a new level. I highly recommend this product.

Love this smoked salt, this is probably about my third or forth purchase. I've given some to my neighbor who was completely enlightened with the depth of flavor you can achieve. It works well with simple scrambled eggs as well as a complex dish. Luv it!
Apple is one of my favourite woods for smoked foods so using this salt adds an awesome smoked flavour to burgers, chicken, red beans and rice, pulled pork, anything. Definitely a product I'm getting a lot of use from.
I've been using this salt for years on rib eyes that I grill. This and garlic seasoning make my steaks "the best in the world" according to my kids. My daughter and I will no longer eat restaurant steaks because ours are better!
I love the applewood smoked sea salt! It adds a hint of incredible smoked flavor to everything I use it on. My family's favorite is when I grind and combine your four peppercorn blend, pink peppercorns, applewood smoked sea salt and minced garlic and use it as a rub on burgers, steaks, chops and even my grandchildren's favorite-my cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped hot dogs! It's excellent. I used it with a beef, pork and chicken rub I make. The flavors are amazing.
Just don't use to much or the smoke flavor might overpowering. You don't need a lot to do the trick. Great stuff.
Applewood Smoked Salt is pure heaven for anyone wanting a smoked flavor without the hassle of actually smoking or grilling their food. This imparts a "bacon" type flavor to food. One of my favorite uses for this is actually on eggs. I don't always have bacon grease to cook with, and this gives that same delicious "cooked in bacon fat" flavor to my finished dish. I've ordered this salt several times & will never be without it.
I suppose I should have known that "smoked" meant SMOKED! It is wonderfully strong if you like "smoked", but I prefer a more subtle flavor. My Sister however, was most appreciative of this gift from me and rates it a definite 5 stars
I purchased a different brand several years ago in one of those kitchen stores and used it very sparingly because the cost was so high. When I found it here, I was ecstatic because I could buy a whole pound for what I paid for a tiny jar. It is a wonderful flavor enhancer and makes any food smell and taste like it just came off the grill.

This is FANTASTIC! Put it on anything that you want to have a grilled taste without firing up the grill. We've tried it on everything from fish and chicken all the way to corn on the cob and popcorn. My husband loves it!!!
This was my free bonus item, and it smells incredible! It's a lovely rich brown color, and has a rich. lush scent and flavor. I haven't cooked with it yet, but tried only a touch of it and am already amazed. I'm thrilled that I found My Spice Sage! Service is excellent too.
The only rub you need for delicious steaks! Be generous and rub both sides of the meat, let sit for about an hour to come to room temperature, and grill to your tastes. Tender, moist, delicious meat is the result. Have used it on pork chops and chicken. Works good for giving meat a grilled flavor when you can't grill outside. I will definitely be buying more of this and I bought a 1 pound bag last time!!!
I have been searching for a way to give broiled steak that distinctive grilled flavor, and I've found it at last! Just drizzle the steak on both sides with olive oil and add a generous sprinkling of the Applewood Smoked Sea Salt & some pepper. Rub it in and let the meat sit at room temp about 15 minutes before broiling. The taste is phenomenal, and the salt rub helps retain juiciness. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
I too used this on chicken breasts, and I've been simply grilling them with kosher salt and pepper for years, but with this applewood smoked sea salt I can sautee them in a pan or cook them on a grill pan indoors and get that grilled flavor on them. This salt smells amazing too.
