Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Sausage Cheddar Quiche Recipe

This is a fun, meat and cheese-stuffed quiche recipe. Perfect for a garden party, or just a lazy Sunday morning, this is a tasty treat. Our Dried Green Peppers make this recipe even easier, and are an excellent pantry staple to keep on hand.

  • Yield:4-5

  • Level of Difficulty:Easy

  • Cook Time:1 Hours

  • Prep Time:15 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1

    pie shell

  • 1 pound

    ground sausage

  • 1/2 cup

    chopped mushrooms

  • 1/2 cup

    chopped onions

  • 1/4 cup

    dried green peppers

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    dried basil

  • 1/8 teaspoon

    sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    salt

  • 1 1/2 cups

    shredded cheddar

  • 1 cup

    milk

  • 3

    eggs

Directions

Preheat your oven to 400-degrees, bake the pie shell for 15 minutes with a pie weight. If you don't own a pie weight, dried black beans or rice will do.

Brown the sausage, and sift it out, leaving the grease behind in the pan. Add the onions and mushrooms to the hot grease, sauté until soft. Sift out, leaving as much of the grease in the pan as you can.

Press the sausage with paper towels, getting rid of the excess grease. Add to the cooked pie shell. Top the sausage with the mushroom-onion mixture.

Combine the basil, dried green peppers, sugar, salt, milk and eggs in a small bowl. Top the pie with the cheddar, and then pour the egg mixture over everything. Cover with aluminum foil.

Reduce the oven heat to 350-degrees and bake the quiche for 45 minutes. Uncover, and cook an additional 15 minutes. Slice and serve hot! Goes wonderfully with fresh fruit, juice, and coffee!
