Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Ingredients: Shallot Powder
Taste and Aroma: Onion-like flavor with garlic undertones, but more subtle, sweet and complex.
Uses: Eggs, fish, soup, steak, pasta, chicken, vegetables, sauces and salad.
Substitutes: Onion Powder, Chives, Toasted Onion, Garlic Powder Pure and Garlic Minced.
Fun Fact: The flavor of shallots is preferred over onions by many professional chefs, because of the more subtle and sweet flavor shallots provide.

Good quality and I’m happy I don’t have to grind dehydrated shallots anymore. It does clump up and harden some but that’s because it doesn’t contain any anti caking agents which I am very happy about!

Great flavor!

I love shallots, but often waste fresh ones when I forget to use them. This shallot powder gives me the flavor I want without the worry of waste.

With this powder I was able to replicate a favorite dish, fettucine with shallots and garlic, from a restaurant where we used to live. Traded wistful memories for delicious meals at home.

Excellent!

This is PURE shallot powder, which has a purplish tint to it. We were able to get this product locally (before the store stopped carrying it), and theirs was a light yellow color, and not as flavorful. The clumping problem is no big deal, and I would rather have it in this form instead of any anti-caking agents added. If one places it in a soft plastic spice shaker, it will dispense fine if you give the sides a small "whack" or two against a counter before shaking. GREAT PRODUCT!
