Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Best in Class!

Many folks think all Black Peppercorns are the same, not true, quality and freshness makes all the difference. My Spice Sage fits that bill.

what a difference!!

I never cared for pepper from a pepper shaker. A friend convinced me to try fresh ground pepper from a pepper mill. She had me grind different sizes of the black pepper onto white paper. Sure I saw the different sizes of pepper, but so what? Then we put the different sized grinds onto pieces of steak and I tasted different something…wow…what? There was a difference in taste among the different sized grinds!! Not only taste, but texture, flavor and even after taste. Finally I realized the subtle differences. Then I again tasted steak with pepper from the pepper shaker. boring. Finally I realized that different pepper grinds had very subtle changes, but the difference between shaken and ground was wow. That was many years ago. Years later, I still pass when pepper from a shaker is the only option. I use differing grinds of pepper and different colors of peppercorns. today I am considered a better cook. The only difference is the peppercorns. My favorites are green and black colored peppercorns. And a pepper “grinder” (which is actually a pepper “mill” has replaced my pepper shakers during both food prep and food serving. What a difference…wow,WOW!!

Fresh Peppercorns

Nothing like using fresh pepper for cooking. My Spice Sage dried herbs etc are always at the peak of freshness and taste.
