Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

Ingredients: Marshmallow Root Powder
Taste and Aroma: Neutral, slightly woody and floral.
Uses: Marshmallow Powder was originally used as an ingredient in a sticky confection now known as marshmallows. It is traditionally used in making the Middle Eastern treat halva and can be used as a tea.
Fun Fact: Marshmallow Root Powder has a high mucilage content and is often used for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Okay product.

Could be cleaned more before they powdered it.. lots of sand and minerals/dirt in my marshmallow root powder. But it worked for what I needed so I cant complain

I don't remember ever hearing of marshmallow root before I saw it at My Spice Sage. I looked it up and the only recipes I found were for making home-made marshmallows with it, which is too much work. Marshmallow root is mild-tasting and dryly sweet. I intend to find out if it would work as a thickening agent in place of corn starch.

Tried to make homemade Marshmallows

I bought this for therapy with water retention. I did make some homemade marshmallows using honey but no gelatin. Next time I'll put in the gelatin; different recipe. This root powder may have helped some as an herbal diuretic. I'll try it, again. Probably a healthy substance; doesn't have a particular taste; just a beige granular that's not too objectionable.

Best marshmallow root powder!

I purchased this product to take for gastritis, to help heal my stomach. It's the best marshmallow root powder I've found. Very fresh and when mixed with water makes a soothing concoction to swallow. I've tried opening capsules and the powder is never this fresh or good quality! It's the best. I have to say it doesn't taste great, but I'm using it for medicinal purposes!

I bought marshmallow root for someone I knew had diabetes. Her blood sugar was out of control in spit of diet and being on multiple drugs. Just one teaspoon of this powder in warm water for tea..twice a day brought her blood sugar from over 300 range to 160 after a number of days. This root powder will be on my medicinal shelf for sure.
