Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

We hope you can see from these images that regardless of which size you order, you are getting a lot of product and a very good value compared to the supermarket.

zesty baked chicken

1 tablespoon each of the tomato powder, non-fat dried milk, and a packet of 4 Seasons Italian Salad dressing added to 1 cup of flour (whole wheat if you like). Coat chicken with the mix, spray some water to make it adhere (2nd coating if you like) and bake at 375 so it browns. Just wonderful. Doesn't work without the tomato powder!

A Boost of Flavor and Texture

I like this powder because it gives a lot of flavor with a small amount. I use it to enhance and thicken foods. It is great in pasta sauce, soups, stews, casseroles and many other meals. I use it to thicken salad dressings, especially Thousand Island, French, and Russian, and in condiments such as ketchup. Everyday I think of more uses. I haven't found a tomato powder anywhere else that is this good.

Too salty

Unlike the tomato powder offering, this product contains a lot of salt mixed in. Beware.

Better alternative !

I use this for those times when a small amount of tomato, or tomato paste is required, and as a sugar, and salt free, alternative to ketchup, or opening a can of tomato paste for 1 tblspn. I have also added a little olive oil, and oregano to this, for a quick pizza sauce on an English with some parmesan cheese when I wanted a quick nosh ! It is also a nice way to make a quick ratatouille without the tomato.
