Below are three photos to give you an idea of how much product you will receive in each size package. We filled up each size bag with marbles and placed them next to a quarter to provide a clear representation. There are two different photos, one for standard spices/seasonings and one for herbs. Since many herbs are so leafy the same weight will fill up a much larger bag. This is why some of the herb prices seem a lot higher than the spice prices, but you are actually receiving more product.

The third image is of our 1 cup Bottle with Sifter next to a popular national brand found in most grocery stores. You can see that our bottle holds close to 2.5 times more product than the national brand bottle. Plus, ours often costs less! Please be aware some other online retailers only offer 1/2 cup(4 fluid ounces) bottles. We choose to offer double the size 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) bottles to give you the biggest bang for your buck!

Ingredients: Sichuan Peppercorns
Taste and Aroma: Hot, Citrusy, Woodsy, Pungent
Uses: A staple in traditional Asian cooking, Sichuan Peppercorns can be used in chicken, beef, pork, duck and vegetable dishes. A great addition to stir-fry, soups and braises!

Fun Fact: Sichuan Peppercorns are actually dried berries from the Prickly Ash Tree!

These are pretty tasty

Rather unique flavor. Spicy, but they provide more of a "tingly" sensation. They add a unique flavor to all dishes. I make sure to add a grind or two to my Asian inspired dishes because it seems to add that spicy sensation (that has been missing… until now) that other peppers just don't provide. I do a 50/50 mix with a 4 peppercorn blend and it is awesome. Doing it this way also helps me to conserve the Sichuan Peppercorns. You definitely don't lose any flavor because the Sichuan will always break through. I'm definitely enjoying them and will be ordering more in the future.

Sichuan peppercorns take awhile to get used to

The shipment of Sichuan peppercorns sent me by Spice Sage were very good quality, I am now testing them out in various recipes, but it will take me awhile to get used to cooking with them. I think I will need a mortar and pestle to properly prepare them; they don't grind like black pepper..

The “peppercorns” were mostly husk, not too many seeds which is desirable as the husk is where the best flavor is. The flavor was good, but there was only a small numbing sensation. I prefer a strong numbing sensation.
