Taste and Aroma: Mild heat, sweet and distinctive of the Aji Panca Chiles.
Uses: Sauces, stew, burritos, soup, salsa, tacos or chili.
Substitutes:Aji Panca Chiles, Guajillo Chile Peppers, Ancho Chile Peppers or Chipotle Brown Chile Peppers.
Fun Fact: New Mexico Chile Peppers come in at about 1,500 Scoville heat units, making it half the heat level of a jalapeno.
